Booking & Cancellation Policy

The following policies apply to all bookings made with Perfect Tresses, whether for salon services or training courses. Please read them carefully before securing your appointment.

Deposits

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure all bookings. Deposit amounts are as follows:

Training courses £100.00 Non-refundable. Full remaining balance due no later than one week before the course date.

All deposits are strictly non-refundable. By paying a deposit, you are confirming your booking and agreeing to these terms in full. Deposits may be transferred to a new date on one occasion only, subject to availability and the conditions below.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

We understand that plans can change. However, because we hold appointment slots exclusively for each client and prepare hair and materials in advance, the following cancellation policy applies:

  • A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required to reschedule any appointment where no new hair has been ordered. Failure to provide this notice will result in your deposit being forfeited and the full balance remaining payable.
  • Deposits are non-refundable in all circumstances. No exceptions will be made.
  • Each deposit may be transferred to a new appointment date on one occasion only. Subsequent changes will require a new deposit.
  • If you fail to attend your appointment without notice (a no-show), your deposit is forfeited and the full balance of the booking fee becomes payable before any future appointment can be made.

Bookings Where New Hair Has Been Ordered

Where new hair has been purchased specifically for your appointment, additional terms apply:

Important: If new hair has been ordered for your appointment, the full balance of the booking must be paid before the appointment can be rescheduled, regardless of notice given. Hair is a perishable, bespoke product ordered specifically for each client and cannot be returned or reused.

  • If you cancel after new hair has been purchased for your appointment and choose not to rebook, you remain liable for the full cost of the hair, in addition to the non-refundable deposit.
  • If you wish to reschedule after new hair has been purchased, the full remaining balance must be paid in advance before a new date is confirmed.
  • Refits, removals, and maintenance appointments (where no new hair is ordered) may be rescheduled with a minimum of 24 hours' notice as standard.

Cancellation by Perfect Tresses

In the rare event that Perfect Tresses needs to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we will contact you as soon as possible and offer you either a full refund of your deposit or priority rebooking at your convenience. We will never charge you for a cancellation on our part.

Salon Services

The following terms apply to all hair extension and salon service bookings at Perfect Tresses.

Consultations

  • A consultation fee of £10.00 is payable at the time of booking. This fee is non-refundable and does not contribute towards the cost of any future service.
  • A consultation is strongly recommended for all new clients. Perfect Tresses reserves the right to require a consultation before carrying out any extension service.
  • The consultation gives Shinead the opportunity to assess your hair's suitability, recommend the most appropriate method, and provide an accurate quote.

Suitability & Right to Decline

  • Perfect Tresses reserves the right to decline to carry out any service where, in Shinead's professional opinion, the client's hair is not in a suitable condition to receive extensions safely.
  • If a service cannot be carried out due to hair condition identified at the appointment, the deposit will be forfeited and no refund will be issued.
  • It is the client's responsibility to arrive at their appointment with clean, dry hair unless otherwise instructed. Failure to do so may result in the appointment being shortened or rescheduled, with the deposit forfeited.

Results & Aftercare

  • The longevity and appearance of hair extensions is significantly affected by the client's aftercare routine. Perfect Tresses provides full aftercare guidance at every appointment.
  • Perfect Tresses cannot guarantee results where aftercare instructions have not been followed. No refund or complimentary refit will be offered in these circumstances.
  • Any concerns about your extensions must be raised within 48 hours of your appointment. Concerns raised after this period may not be eligible for a complimentary remedy.
  • Hair extensions are a luxury service. Colour matching is carried out to the highest professional standard, but minor variation between extensions and natural hair may occur over time due to fading, growth, and environmental factors.

Custom Colouring of Extensions

Where a client requests that hair extensions are custom coloured, toned, tinted, or chemically treated prior to or after fitting, the following terms apply without exception:

  • Custom colouring of hair extensions is carried out entirely at the client's own risk. Hair extensions respond differently to chemical processes than natural hair, and results cannot be guaranteed.
  • Any appointment involving custom-coloured or chemically treated extensions is exempt from our standard cancellation and rescheduling policy. Once hair has been coloured or treated specifically for your appointment, no refund, transfer, or rescheduling will be offered under any circumstances, regardless of notice given.
  • Custom colouring voids the manufacturer's warranty on the hair extensions. Perfect Tresses accepts no liability for any change in texture, quality, or longevity of extensions that have been chemically treated.
  • Perfect Tresses will not be held responsible for any adverse reaction, damage, breakage, or colour result arising from the custom colouring of extensions, whether carried out by Perfect Tresses or by the client or a third party.
  • By requesting custom-coloured extensions, the client confirms they understand and accept these risks in full, and that no claim for refund, replacement, or compensation will be made on the basis of the colouring outcome or its effect on the extensions.

Please note: If you are unsure whether custom colouring is right for your extensions, please discuss this with Shinead at your consultation before any hair is purchased or treated. Once the colouring process has begun, these terms apply in full and cannot be waived.

Patch Tests

  • Where a patch test is required, it must be carried out at least 48 hours before the appointment. It is the client's responsibility to attend for the patch test in advance.
  • If a patch test has not been carried out where required, the appointment cannot proceed and the deposit will be forfeited.

Payment

  • The full balance of all salon services is due on the day of the appointment unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed in writing in advance.
  • Klarna and Clearpay are available on eligible bookings. Use of these services is subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant third-party provider.
  • Perfect Tresses accepts card payment and bank transfer. Cash payments can be arranged on request.

Training Course Terms

The following terms apply to all training courses delivered by the Perfect Tresses Training Academy. By paying a deposit or full balance for any course, you are agreeing to these terms in full.

Booking & Payment

  • A non-refundable deposit of £100.00 is required to secure your place on any training course.
  • The full remaining balance must be paid no later than one week before the course date. Failure to pay the balance by this date may result in your place being released and your deposit being forfeited.
  • Klarna and Clearpay are available for training course payments, subject to approval by the relevant provider.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • If you need to reschedule your course date, your deposit will be transferred to a new date on one occasion, subject to availability. Your deposit is not lost when rescheduling on this first occasion.
  • The transferred deposit must be used within 12 months of the original course date. After this period, the deposit is forfeited.
  • A second or subsequent request to reschedule will result in the deposit being forfeited and a new deposit of £100 being required to secure the new date.
  • If you have paid your full course balance and subsequently cancel without rebooking, the full amount paid is non-refundable. You may transfer to a new date on one occasion only, subject to availability, without losing your payment.
  • No refund will be issued for any reason once a course date has commenced, regardless of how much of the course has been attended.
  • If you fail to attend on the day without prior notice (a no-show), your full payment is forfeited and no transfer will be offered.

Please note: Course dates fill quickly and are limited to a maximum of 2 students. Once a date is confirmed, it is held exclusively for enrolled students. This is why our cancellation policy is strictly enforced — late cancellations directly affect the viability of the training day.

Cancellation by Perfect Tresses Training Academy

  • In the unlikely event that Perfect Tresses needs to cancel a course date, all students will be notified as soon as possible and offered a full refund of all payments made, or priority rebooking on the next available date.
  • Perfect Tresses will not be liable for any additional costs incurred as a result of a course cancellation, including travel or accommodation costs.

Course Content & Intellectual Property

  • All course content, training materials, manuals, guides, and techniques taught during Perfect Tresses training courses are the intellectual property of Perfect Tresses and Shinead Hayes.
  • Course materials are provided for the personal professional use of the enrolled student only. They may not be reproduced, shared, distributed, sold, or used as the basis for any other training programme without the express written permission of Perfect Tresses.
  • Students may not record video or audio of any part of the training without prior written consent from Shinead Hayes.
  • Photography taken during training sessions by Perfect Tresses may be used for marketing purposes on social media and the Perfect Tresses website. If you do not wish to be photographed, please notify Shinead in writing before your course date.

CPD Certification

  • CPD accredited certificates are issued upon successful completion of the full training day. Certificates will not be issued to students who leave before the course has concluded.
  • The certificate confirms completion of training with Perfect Tresses. Students are responsible for obtaining their own insurance before taking paying clients.
  • Perfect Tresses cannot guarantee that any specific insurer will accept the CPD certificate, though it is recognised by all major beauty industry insurers including Salon Gold, ABT, and Babtac.

Conduct

  • Perfect Tresses reserves the right to remove any student from a training course where their conduct is disruptive, disrespectful, or deemed incompatible with a professional learning environment. No refund will be issued in these circumstances.
  • Students are expected to arrive on time, prepared, and ready to engage fully with the course. Late arrival of more than 30 minutes may result in the course being unable to proceed for that student, with no refund issued.

Liability

  • Perfect Tresses takes all reasonable care to deliver services to a high professional standard. However, we cannot be held liable for any adverse reaction, damage, or loss arising from services where the client has failed to disclose relevant medical information, hair history, or contraindications prior to the appointment.
  • It is the client's responsibility to disclose any known allergies, scalp conditions, previous chemical treatments, or medication that may affect the service. Failure to disclose this information releases Perfect Tresses from liability for any adverse outcome.
  • Perfect Tresses will not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss arising from the use of our services or website.

Privacy & Data

  • Personal information provided to Perfect Tresses (including name, contact details, and booking history) is held securely and used only for the purposes of managing your booking and communicating with you about your appointment or course.
  • Your data will not be sold or shared with third parties, except where required to process payment (e.g. Klarna, Clearpay) or where required by law.
  • For full details of how we handle your data, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

Changes to These Terms

Perfect Tresses reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. The most current version will always be available on this page. Continued use of our services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
